This happened in Zamfara state. Hisbah Police officers which is the Islamic police agents in the different Sharia states, arrested unmarried young men who were caught celebrating the Sallah holiday in company of their girlfriends. Also arrested were men who were caught drinking alcohol. Super Eagles John Ogu replies angry Nigerian who says he should go off social media and concentrate on winning next match

Following their loss against Croatia on last Saturday, many Nigerians have stormed the social media pages of the Super Eagles players to bash them.

This afternoon, John Ogu shared a photo of himself and appealed to Nigerians to keep supporting them. An angry Nigerian came on the comment section to ask him to leave social media so he can concentrate on his match. See his reply below

What a World Cup 2018 so far! We’ve had Cristiano Ronaldo shine as Lionel Messi faltered, Spain pretty much coach themselves, Russia hit five and VAR make its mark on the tournament. And day four is even more exciting.

Costa Rica kick it all off against Serbia at 1pm BST before two of the heavy favourites make their first marks in Russia this summer.

World champions Germany start their campaign to become only the second team to retain the trophy against Mexico at the Luzhniki Stadium before Brazil, who have won this competition more than any other country, take on Switzerland in Group E.

President Buhari will sign 2018 budget on Tuesday June 19th'' Lai Mohammed says

Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed says President Buhari will sign into law the 2018 budget on Tuesday June 19th. He disclosed this in an interview with Reuters on the sideline of his visit to London. 

“We will sign it off on Tuesday,” Lai Mohammed said

The National Assembly on May 16 passed the N9.12 trillion ($28.95 billion)  2018 budget.

Highlights of 2018 FIFA World Cup match between Portugal and Spain straight from Fisht Stadium Sochi, Russia

Portuguese talisman Cristiano Ronaldo scored his sixth hat-trick for the national team and 51st career treble as Portugal held an all-out attacking Spain 3-3 in the Group B clash at the Fisht Stadium in Sochi Russia on Saturday. After the five-time Ballon D'Or holder gave Portugal the initial lead Diego Costa scored the equaliser which was again cut to level by a goal each from the both Costa and Ronaldo for their respective sides. In the second-half Nacho put Spain in the lead through a volley well curled into the far post from outside the box. However, a free-kick given away to Portugal withing touching distance costed Spain the victory as the Portuguese captain brought back his national team on level terms.

Akinwunmi Ambode (born June 14, 1963) is the Governor of Lagos State. He was a civil servant for 27 years and a financial consultant before running for public office as Governor of Lagos State in 2015. (Wiki)

Ambode ran for office of the Governor of Lagos State in April 2015 as a member of the All Progressives Congress, the state’s ruling party. He won the election, just defeating the second-place candidate Jimi Agbaje of the People Democratic Party by 150,000 votes. He began his tenure as the governor of Lagos on 29 May 2015, succeeding former governor Babatunde Fashola.

Akinwunmi Ambode was born on 14 June 1963 in Epe, Lagos, into the family of Festus Akinwale Ambode and Christianah Oluleye Ambode. Akinwunmi Ambode is one of ten children of his father Festus Ambode

From 1974-81, Ambode, attended Federal Government College, Warri, Delta State. From 1981-1984, he attended University of Lagos where he studied Accounting, graduating at the age of 21.

He also has a master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos, and he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.

In 1991, Akinwunmi Ambode got married to Bolanle Patience (née Odukomaiya) Ambode. They have three children together, twin boys and a girl. Ambode identifies as Christian  Facebook
